At just 85 square meters, QUARTET I reimagines compact living through sculptural form, natural materials, and purposeful rhythm. Designed for a client who enjoys intimate gatherings, the apartment balances moody tones with soft curves, material contrast with compositional clarity.

Every item in the apartment was custom-designed or locally made. The lounge and sculptural armchair by Catra, bespoke joinery, and locally sourced veneers speak to a project deeply rooted in craft and material integrity.
The kitchen is wrapped in dark oak veneer and veined stone, with Miele integrated appliances and a coffee station concealed within a custom island. This central piece, part dining table and part workspace, features an aged brass pedestal base, echoed in subtle hardware details throughout.

The apartment’s design language is based on contrast — of material, tone, and texture — but always resolves into harmony. Bouclé dining chairs with scroll-like backs, a black velvet lounge chair, and curtains and a custom rug by Mara Home introduce softness and tactility. These curved forms repeat across the space, creating a sense of movement and rhythm that balances the linear geometry of the architecture.

Though compact in footprint, QUARTET I feels generous — a result of meticulous planning and sensitivity to scale. Each form is proportioned to fit, but never shrink; every surface, storage, and circulation space is considered. The result is a home that lives large, while remaining calm, composed, and exquisitely efficient.
Subtle details unfold slowly. With each glance, a new surface, shadow, or line emerges — a space designed to reward attention, not demand it.
